New Year, New Word

Exactly one year ago I chose the word for 2018, and that word was growth. I sure got what I asked for!

2018 was the year that I learned that I could handle more than I ever thought possible. It was the year where I traveled alone, more than I have ever done. It was the year that I set new goals and started working hard to reach them. It was the year where I learned to let go and to give new love a chance, even though it didn’t end up as I thought it would. It was the year where what I wanted in my life became even more clear, and it was the year where the truth hurt more than ever, but I really needed to hear it.

2018 has been a year of smiles, tears, heartbreaks, and love. It’s been wonderful moments, challenging times, and lots and lots of self-love!

I’ve grown a lot in the last year, and that’s the one thing I asked for. Now it’s time for another new year, and that means that it’s time for a new word.

The word I’ve chosen for 2019 is CHALLENGE. I want to challenge myself more in the year to come. Challenge myself to do new things, to travel to new places, get to know new people and have lots of new experiences. I want to challenge myself to really go for what I want, and not let myself be distracted.

I don’t do New Year’s resolutions anymore, but this tradition of choosing a word to define the upcoming year is one that I’ve come to love!

So here’s to the new year! And to the new word!

Happy New Year Lovelies ❤️I wish you all a wonderful celebration, and an eventful year full of everything you could ever dream of! See you guys next year!
